Daniel Weiss

Founder & Head of Quant Research
LinkedIn

Daniel founded Gixodia in 2018 after fifteen years as a senior quant on the systematic macro desk of a tier-1 global investment bank. He holds a PhD in Applied Mathematics with a focus on stochastic volatility modeling and spent the early 2010s leading research into market-microstructure alpha signals for XAUUSD and G10 FX pairs. At Gixodia he sets the long-term research agenda and personally reviews every strategy parameter that ships into production.

Elena Rodriguez

Lead Engineer, Execution Systems
LinkedIn

Elena leads the engineering team responsible for the execution core that drives GIX-GOLD and GIX-EURO. Twelve years in low-latency trading systems — including six at a Chicago-based HFT firm — give her a rare grasp of what it takes to turn a research signal into a sub-50ms order. She holds a BS in Computer Science from MIT and is a maintainer on two open-source networking libraries.

Editorial Standards

Every article published on the Gixodia blog is written by — or under the direct supervision of — a named member of our research, engineering, or risk team. Drafts go through a three-stage editorial process: domain review, factual verification, and compliance review.

Any content classified as YMYL (Your Money or Your Life) — including anything touching performance numbers, drawdown expectations, broker recommendations, or risk tolerance — is personally reviewed and signed off by Marcus Chen before publication.

We correct errors publicly. When a published article requires a factual correction, we update the page, add a dated "Correction" note at the bottom, and — for material corrections — link to the change from our Changelog.

We never publish content written by generative AI without human authorship and review. AI is a tool our engineers use — it is not, and will not be, our author of record.
